"Lack of process"

Had two liver ultrasounds three months apart. At conclusion of second ultrasound was told by technician I would be contacted by hospital with an appointment time for results. Was asked by technician - are you in any pain? - so I thought maybe something wrong. I waited three weeks and rang hospital to be told I should have made the appointment myself to get the results. (Hope its not three weeks too late! ) Was given an appointment for 6 weeks time when I rang, as doctors were on holidays. I've asked for results to be faxed to my local doctor. As waiting six weeks for Alfred to get results is a bit too long don't you think?
