"Day Surgery Unit"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

I needed surgery and attended the Day Surgery Unit. I was greeted wonderfully and all of the staff could not have made me feel more welcome.   The staff that attended to me were really happy and made me feel very at ease. I have a huge phobia of needles and the staff were very supportive and allowed me to relax and made sure that at the time of my greatest fear they talked to me to ease that fear.   I really appreciated the atmosphere where the staff wore colourful uniform tops and the cupboards had flowers on them making the environment less clinical.   Please let that continue as it makes for a more positive experience.   I am so grateful for the care that I was shown and feel that the staff should be praised for this wonderful service.
