My partner and I lived an hour and a half away from the closest hospital that had high care facilities to deliver twins after 34 weeks. I spent some time in Monash from 29 weeks with early labour pains. I, fortunately, after a long and difficult pregnancy recently, delivered my twin babies via emergency caesarean at Sale Hospital. The staff paediatricians, nurses & doctors were all amazing. Prior to my delivery, I was in and out of hospital due to the distance and high risk and I was always well taken care of and given that extra assistance. I not once felt anxious about my long stay. I was most grateful for the hospital social worker who went beyond her services to help assist us with accommodation for my family and I when we needed it. The social worker organised everything just to help take extra stress load off us.
I cannot believe what services CGHS offered us. In the time of our stay before and after the twins were born, we cannot thank the staff and everyone involved enough, down to the kitchen staff, amazing!
My babies were in high care for a week and the midwives are to thank for my babies’ great health and fast recovery, only needing another week in the hospital before we were released to go home.
Thank you again for everything, I can honestly say we would not have coped so well without the support from everyone involved.
