About: Lives Lived Well - Sunshine Coast

I started at Mirikai for the 6 week program recently and have just graduated. Throughout this program I have really learnt self accountability and realised that recovery is what you make of it. I have done a lot of work around my self-esteem and the reasons behind my drinking problem. I have discovered so much about myself and for once in my life, I love and appreciate who I am. I would like to make a special shout out to Claire and Kim - thanks so much for your help guys and for listening to me. I feel that you really accurately learnt about my personality, which in turn helped you guys give me better personal advice. I am grateful for everything and I couldn't have possibly asked for better case workers. There was bad days and good days and you both just knew when I needed help and you were always playful and good to have a laugh with so cheers heaps.

I recommend the Mirikai program, I know a lot of people think that because it is a 6 week program it isn't long enough. I believe this to be wrong. If an individual comes in with the right mindset and uses every day and focuses and does the personal work on themselves...you can get tonnes from this program.

I will be forever grateful for everything these guys have done for me and the support they are giving me going home. The support is insane and they are all just such great people.

Response from Gerard Moloney, Lives Lived Well

Hello Cheetahmf76

Thank you for telling us about your recent journey at Lives Lived Well and Mirikai. It is great that it has helped you learn so much about yourself. Thank you for your recommendation of the program.

Self knowledge helps you to hear the suggestions of others such as Claire and Kim so that you were able to take the steps you needed to make changes in your life. It is great that the next part of your journey will be supported as you make the transition back into your family and community.

We wish you all the best for the journey ahead and know you are welcome to call for help no matter where the journey leads.

Warm regards

Gerard
