(as a parent/guardian),

Our family was at a loss in helping our daughter in her battle with addiction. Her life was spiraling out of control. She finally decided she needed professional help after crashing her car into a pole the day before she was to start University. We were able to get her into Mirakai at Burleigh Heads.  Over the course of approx. 9 months the staff at Mirakai and Lives Lived Well helped our daughter in overcoming her addiction.  They were also wonderful in supporting the family with family counselling and support groups. 

Our family will be forever grateful to Mirakai for what they did for us and our daughter.  We could not have done it without them and our daughter may not be here today without their help. 

Thank you Mirakai for all you do.

Hello Road to recovery

Watching a family member spiral out of control, especially as a parent, leaves us feeling at a loss and often powerless. Thank you for having the courage to tell the story of your family and the journey you have all taken to get to today. From what you say it seems you were all open to do what ever it took to help your daughter. What a great story and a great effort by each one of you, in particular your daughter. It takes courage and sustained persistence over time to make such changes.

Thank you for the recognition of the work that Lives Lived Well does through Mirikai and what that has meant for your family. Staff at Lives Lived Well appreciate your comments.
