(as a relative),

I was full time carer for my wife who has been fighting Parkinson's disease for 11 years. I cared for her at home until almost 3 years ago when trouble to swallow caused us to part and she became a member of Glenarm Kerang Victoria. 

We find this unit a wonderful caring group who put the patient first at all times. Their attention and top medical attention are first class and I would recommend this institution to any person needing full care.

I love your story and the use of the words "wonderful caring group". Caring is one of our values here at Kerang District Health. You are kind to notice and comment on the aged care staff ability to care for their residents. This staff group take a lot of pride in keeping the aged care home as homelike as possible, and comfortable for the residents, and welcoming for all visitors.

It must have been so hard for you to have been the carer for your wife for so long, and then no longer be able to have her at home with you, when her swallowing became problematic. You did our aged care home an enormous honour when you chose us to provide the next stages of care for your wife, three years ago, and I am delighted that you feel the care is of such a high standard.

I will share your message with the aged care staff.
