"Suspected stroke"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Neurosurgical Unit

(as the patient),

I presented to SCGH ED on a busy Friday afternoon with symptoms and signs that could have been a stroke.

The care I received from all of the staff in ED, the  neurology "Code Stroke" team, the medical imaging team and on the neurology ward was world class.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a world-class service.

Thank you.

Dear tangodx37,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience of the Emergency Department and Stroke Service at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. It was so pleasing to read your words of the “world-class” care you received during your recent visit to the ED. I can only imagine how frightening this event must have been for you and I am so glad the staff caring for you left you with such positive feelings of professionalism and support.

I know that the staff involved in your care will be thrilled to read your message of thanks also, and I will ensure this is passed onto them.

Thank you again for your kind message and best wishes.

Kind regards

Geraldine Carlton
