"Poor Health Care Noonkenbah Community Clinic"

About: Noonkanbah Health Clinic

(as the patient),

I was in Noonkenbah for personal family reasons.

A few days later I was paining everywhere all over my body from top to bottom, so I went to the Noonkenbah Clinic one night to get help.

In my opinion the 2 health staff at the clinic did no treat me right. They laughed at me and I believe thought I was joking, but I was really sick and paining.

I asked for strong pain relief for my paining all over and they only gave me weak panadol. They said they could not give me anything stronger.

I also asked for vicks and dencorub for my paining joints all over from top to bottom and they did not assist, only to give me a lift back home to my family member's house.

A few days later, I went to the Nookenbah Clinic when it was open, one of the health staff told me not to come there, he would not let me in the clinic. He said I was humbug, but I asked to wait in the waiting room and use the toilet.

The nurse then called out to me and seen me in her office. I believe she was the only one who was helpful and assisted me properly all morning. She called for the doctor plane and I was sent to Broome Hospital.

I would like for these health staff not to be working in Aboriginal clinics anywhere in WA.
