"My Dear Mum"

About: Glenarm Nursing Home

(as a relative),

Just wanted to tell you my dear mum (101 years old), just passed away. She was a resident at Glenarm at Kerang District Health for the last five years.

I cannot praise the staff enough who are all ANGELS, for the love and care given to my dear mum, which was of a very high standard. Our family are so thankful for the wonderful care and dear mum loved them all.

Glenarm is a loving home, full of love and dedication from the staff, beautiful meals, spotlessly clean and nothing is too big of a problem. So thankful for the communication given to me at all times with my mum and visiting mum, staff treated me as part of a big happy family.

Feel so happy to tell you my happy experience of my dear mum at Glenarm, Kerang District Health.

Dear My dear mum,

What a lovely and heartfelt message. Please accept mine, and all the staffs condolences on the recent loss of your Mum. She was such a special lady, and we all miss her.

In your time of grief I am overwhelmed that you took the time to write about your experience of the Aged Care home. I love that you felt like the staff here were angels. That is a fabulous Christmas message. The staff from all areas work so hard to ensure that the residents in Glenarm have a home to be proud of, and part of that is feeling like the residents are part of community or big family.

It is also a lovely message that your dear mum had 5 years living with us! And that this was such a positive experience for you and your family. I would like to add that the feelings are mutual, caring for residents in Glenarm is also a positive experience for our staff, who get a lot of job satisfaction, and pleasure providing for the people in their care.

Many people do not realise that living in aged care with people around you, and your own room to escape to and ensuite bathrooms, and people to cook you meals and clean up afterwards for you is a special thing when you cannot do these things yourself. The recent introduction of Friday night happy hour has also been quite a hit!

Thank you for taking the time to write your families experience of Glenarm caring for your mother.

Kind Regards

Chloe
