I was admitted to Harvey Hospital with pneumonia .

I’ve just spent time in Harvey Hospital and cannot speak highly enough of the compassion and care I experienced in my time there. At times I was extremely uncomfortable and in significant pain, but the kindness and responsiveness of staff made me feel confident that everything was being done to alleviate that. I was treated as though I was one of the family, not just a patient. Staff were able to recognise when my condition deteriorated and responded in a timely and professional manner and by keeping me informed.

I was also very impressed with the manner in which the two, excellent, ECU students were being mentored and also by the exceptional professionalism of these two students.

On behalf of the staff at Harvey Hospital I would like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to write about your care and experience at Harvey Hospital. The staff at Harvey Hospital take great pride in the care that they deliver.

I am delighted that the staff responded to your deterioration in a timely manner and that you felt well informed about the care that you received. It is also good to get feedback that the student nurses are being mentored in such a positive manner.

I hope that you continue to get better and that you have a very happy and safe Christmas. I will ensure that your kind works are shared with all the Harvey staff.
