I presented with my son at ENT clinic recently and was disappointed by the consultant's casual attitude towards my son's sinusitis condition. He examined him and told him he required surgery and went through the surgery process and told him he would have to wait up to a year. However, when asked what can my son do to manage his condition for the next year the response was nothing. The consultant described chronic sinusitis as having diabetics - it's life long and you have to deal with it. But I'm sure diabetic patients are given a treatment plan to manage their condition. In the meantime, my son's mental health, employment and physical health deteriorate. Why is the wait so long for surgery? Why is no treatment plan is given in the meantime?
