My elderly grandma was taken to the Angliss Hospital after a vomiting episode. The staff in emergency were incredible and caring. They spent time with her to position her so her back didn’t hurt as much. The carer working there was amazing and made her smile. On the ward (2 east) the nurses and doctor were so caring. Once again they spent the time to make her comfortable and followed up everything as promptly as they could. There was a new grad caring for grandma and she was so caring and listened to our concerns and tried to answer our questions. The night nurses called us when grandma was deteriorating - because of them we were able to spend three hours with grandma before she passed. We have never experienced such good care and communication from hospital staff.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience regarding the care of your elderly grandma in the Emergency Department and ward 2 East at the Angliss Hospital.

My sincerest condolences for the loss of your grandma. I'm sure this has been a really difficult time and I was so pleased to read the staff clearly demonstrated the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility.

It will give me great pleasure to share your comments and feedback with the staff of both the Emergency Department, Ward 2 East and their managers so they can clearly see the positive impact they had for you and your family.
