"Hospital in the Home at Royal Prince Alfred, Sydney"

I was referred by my GP for IV antibiotics for an infection in my hand. Hospital in the Home is a clinic located within the hospital (or at a community-based Sydney District Nursing clinic) to treat acute problems.

It can reduce your stay in hospital or provide a safe alternative to hospital admission. It’s therefore very cost effective for the public system. 

The service was efficient, caring and effective. All the staff (a doctor, 3 nurses and a ward clerk) were attentive and made me feel safe and calm. I attended for 2 consecutive days and was able to go away for the long weekend as they sorted the problem out for me. I was very grateful to them all.
