Specialist Appointment Times

"Specialist Appointment Times"

About: Royal Perth Hospital

(as the patient),

I recently have been referred to both Urology and Orthopedic specialists at Royal Perth Hospital

I enquired with Orthopaedics about the approximate wait time to actually see the specialist and was told we don't have to actually give you an appointment until Jan 2020.

They then went on to advise they only have 1 Orthopaedic surgeon who deals with feet orthopaedics. 

How in 2019 can a major city hospital the size of Royal Perth have just 1 specialist in a particular category.

I have not actually had a chance to call Urology yet, but suspect the story is going to be similar.
