"Lack of care"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Came in with sand in my eye and it was only after I got animated with staff that they put drops in my eye, I mean seriously, they don’t know by now that sand in eyes is very painful and that every patient with a foreign object in their eye will need immediate pain relief.

Fast track - in my opinion, are u serious? To me they seem, lazy unaccountable robots that have learned how little they need to do to keep their appearance money coming in .

I felt they bad attitude and lack of care, I mean how dare I ask for pain relief at a hospital

All I can say is that thank God I very rarely need a hospital .

Dear Big mushroom

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your comments regarding your care and treatment in the Emergency Department at Box Hill Hospital. I'd like to apologise your experience wasn't positive and we didn't live up to expectations.

I will share your comments with the leaders of the Emergency Department so they can work with their team to make any improvements to minimise the potential for your experience to be repeated.

I hope your eye is much better now and, as no-one wants to attend any Emergency Department unless they have to, your health continues to keep you well!

Kind regards and best wishes

David
