I had a fall while on a caravaning trip around Australia. The fall was in Kunnanurra where I finished up with a large haematoma on my leg. In the end, I was flown to Broome & then to Perth for an operation. After the stitches came out it became infected very badly, on our way down the coast & around the bottom of WA we called into 15 different hospitals, but it was the wound clinic in Geraldton that turned everything around. We spent 2 weeks there & the nurses did a magnificent job, they were a lovely lot of ladies. Right up to now it has needed dressing changes but as of last week, it has been uncovered. We would really like to thank them, otherwise our holiday would have been ruined.

I was sorry to read of your fall while travelling around Australia, but so pleased that our team were able to turn things around for you so that you could continue to enjoy your trip. The team at the Patient Acute Care Services who oversee the wound clinic do a fabulous job, they are a great group of people who strive to provide high quality care. Your positive experience is an example of the great work our team do every day and I will take pride and delight in passing your thanks and acknowledgement on to our very committed front line staff.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. We really do value patient feedback as it allows us an opportunity to reflect on what we do well and where we need to improve. I hope you are recovering well and continue to enjoy your fabulous adventure.
