"My patient experience in the Short Stay Unit at SCGH"

I was admitted recently for the removal of a cyst on my kidney. From the time of admission to discharge home two days later, I was treated with exceptional care by all the staff. 

The nurses were so gentle and kind, they did their best to keep my pain under control especially during that first night post-op which was a bit tough.

I was impressed with the facilities which are clean and user-friendly.

I also appreciated being allowed to have my husband wait with me as I waited to go to the holding area before my surgery, it helped keep me relaxed having my support person there.

So I would like to thank you all for the outstanding care, you were all amazing! You not only treated me well but also my fellow roommates were spoken to with kindness and respect.

Keep up the good work girls! Special thanks to nurses Lyndsay, Jill, student Sarah, night duty girls Nat & Derryn and gentle Grace. Sorry if I forgot someone.
