"Feedback from Drug and Alcohol Challenge with Lives Lived Well Toowoomba"

Yesterday, Downs Industry Schools Co-Op welcomed Tania Hickey from Lives Lived Well into our office. During Tania's visit at our office she provided a Drugs and Alcohol workshop to our clients. Tania explored the cycle of addiction with our clients and also used a number of activities to engage our young people. At the conclusion of the workshop I asked our young people for feedback regarding the workshop. The young people mentioned that they thoroughly enjoyed the workshop especially the use of Tania's brain scans where she showed images of the damage drugs and alcohol cause on the brain. Another comment that was made was in relation to learning about the three categories of drugs and that one person had no idea drugs had different effects, they thought they all did the same thing to our bodies. I cannot thank Tania enough for her time yesterday and we look forward to welcoming her back into our office on a later date.
