"Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) recovery"

About: Lives Lived Well - Toowoomba

(as a service user),

I've been seeing Kim at Lives Lived Well for over a year. During that time I've done a 30 day rehab, and been clean a number of times. We have worked through lots of different stuff during my journey. This has helped me reach a milestone of being 3 months clean. During this time Kim has supported me when being vulnerable and talking about my underlying use. She has taught me that it's okay to feel vulnerable and open up and talk about things. Kim has supported me through the many different stages of grief and getting clean. My vision has been opened up to seeing the near future and reaching 6 months and then 12 months clean.

Hello geminiqe93

Thank you for your story about your ongoing contact with Kim at Lives Lived Well and the journey you have been on together.

Vulnerability is a precious space and it requires a degree of courage to go there and talk about it. Often we spend so much energy trying to keep away from it. Well done to you for exploring your vulnerability with Kim, as well as your grief and your underlying use. Attending a rehab is such a major effort too.

I wish you all the best in your efforts to expand your milestones in the days and weeks ahead.

Warm regards

Gerard
