I was a inpatient at Knox private for about 2 weeks although I was a easy patient for the nurses to care for as I was ambulant continent and not confused. In my opinion, the pressure on the nurses and the lack of support for junior nurses and students was evident as a patient. I had an agency nurse who did not seem to know how to use any equipment, he could not find any regular nurses to help him. The elderly patients in the room I was in did not have their spectacles on and one patient did not have her teeth brushed for the 1 week I shared a room with her. Some days I did not see my consultant as he was off sick, but that is the private system, there is not always the doctors that are looking after you available. I was admitted without a diagnosis, but terrible blood test after further tests I was discharged still sick and with no diagnosis
