Finger Injury

About: Donnybrook Hospital / Emergency Department

I injured my finger and needed to attend our local hospital in Donnybrook WA.

The staff there and especially the Nurse Practitioner were fantastic. Even though it was a straightforward procedure, it was attended to with utmost care. The staff were excellent in both the response and the treatment I required.

My only negative is learning that the Donnybrook Hospital will lose the on-call doctor that attends to patient needs in the evening / AM hours.

A big thank you to the staff at the Donnybrook hospital

Response from Jeremy Higgins, Operations Manager, Inland, WACHS South West

Dear jupiterqx78

Thank you for your positive feedback on the care that you received at Donnybrook Hospital. Our Donnybrook Hospital staff we are committed to providing the best care possible and I will ensure that the local team are aware of your feedback which I’m sure will make their day.

Please be assured we are working closely with the local Doctors who have recently withdrawn from providing an on call emergency service after many years of committed service to the community. Our highly skilled nursing staff supported by WA Country Health’s 24/7, Doctor led, Emergency Telehealth Service, is supporting high quality care 24/7.

Your sincerely

Jeremy Higgins
