"We received such wonderful care and help at Geraldton Hospital"

When my girlfriend (from overseas) was brought into Emergency department via ambulance I was devastated. Her nose was cut, and they suspected a broken nose, wrist and finger from an accident on a bicycle. To intensify the worry we also had a very large triage cost because her country is non reciprocal, we had a lovely liaison officer by the name of Victoria who helped us through the insurance process and made everything a lot easier from first admittance to physio rehabilitation and also the wonderful Dr Chris who consulted and gave medical attendance to her,I am extremely grateful for both her level of professionalism and beautiful empathy towards my girlfriend and I and also the help of Dr Chris, my girlfriend struggled a little with English and Victoria really made her feel at ease and more comfortable with the situation.

Thank you for taking the time to share you and your girlfriends experience on Patient Opinion. I was so sorry to read of your girlfriends accident and so pleased that the team at the Geraldton Hospital were able to assist in your girlfriend in a time of need. I understand how stressful it can be when you are away from home and you have an accident and require medical treatment and I was so pleased to read that the care your girlfriend received was of a high calibre.

WA Country Health Service prides itself on providing high quality, professional and compassionate healthcare, and this was clearly reflected by your girlfriends experience.

I have personally worked with Victoria and she is a wonderful, caring person and a consummate professional and I will take pride in passing your kind words on to the team with a special mention to both Victoria and Dr Chris.
