I"ve began volunteering at the Hospital recently and wish to say that Bass Coast Health, you're doing great job. Staff are receptive and encouraging, with patients and volunteers.
From an observers point of view, the Hospital Staff are giving great care.
Just one thought. I am able to use a mobility scooter. This is my form of transport and gives me a great amount of freedom, though not as much as driving a vehicle....weather and distance are my setbacks.
I have to say, I am at a loss where to park it when I come to the hospital. I want to make sure I park it where it will not interfere with people entering and exiting the hospital, yet there seems to be no easy uncover area to do so. Presently I just park it near the wishing well and that has been fine......but it hasn't poured with rain.....YET.
Now if I have to park my rear end on a puddled seat, I will do so, though I'm believing the Hospital would not wish me to. :) With our ageing population there may be a need for provision for such things.
I recognize that there is funding for improvements to the hospital and was wondering if consideration has been made for such things.
Maybe there is not a need and it is just the odd scooter driver having this issue, but I thought it was worth a mention, just in case there was a need and it hadn't been considered.
Another thought....we have accessed the Emergency Dept a couple of times and have been very impressed with the prompt, courteous and exceptional level of care.
Thank you Bass Coast Health
