"Epilepsy surgery at RBWH"

About: Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital

(as the patient),

My neurosurgeon took the trouble to cut (not shave) my hair. She also put dissolving stitches (not staples) for the scar. This has healed up so well and I think was much more comfortable (apart from the headache!). Now my hair has grown back nice and quick and it wasn't as obvious as shaving it would have been.

All the staff were so organised, caring and helpful. They explained everything along the way as much as possible, and made themselves available when I was scared or forgot things I'd been told. Some tests weren't great, but I suppose you have to get the info as accurate as possible to get a good result. Seems to be working so far, touch wood. And all this for a public hospital, for free.

What could've been better? If my epilepsy could have magically gone away or never happened in the first place...
