We took our child to Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) Emergency recently after falling off their scooter and breaking their wrist. This was our first presentation to FSH ED and from the moment we were in triage and to the point of discharge, the process has been smooth. The staff have been absolutely brilliant in a busy setting and made my child feel so at ease when they were in pain. Special mention to Dr Nina, Dr Kalsie, Shirley and a male RN who made my child the best milo - shows how much they do above and beyond their job description. They even gave my child a teddy bear for being brave.
As a health employee, I must make mention of the great communication that made the admission smooth.
Less than 24hrs post discharge I received a call from outpatients to secure an orthopedic review appointment.
Our kids in WA are very fortunate to have such a wonderful emergency facility.
