I am a long time staff member at Box Hill Hospital and yesterday experienced the process of having a day procedure at BHH. The process was smooth and the staff displayed my two favourite Eastern Health values. I would like to name a few people and thank them for the kind and respectful way I was treated throughout the day.
Jess (Clerk at reception), Alma (Admitting Nurse), Jess (Surgical Admissions Nurse who put me in a private area to await my procedure as she knew I was staff and would be recognised), Chris (Anaesthetist), Clem (Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar) - so kind and respectful of the position I was in, Jenny (Anaesthetics Nurse), Divya (Post-anaesthesia Care Unit Nurse - so kind and literally held my hand when I testily came out of the anaesthetic), Anqi (Surgical Admissions Nurse - saw me through the final process), Claire (Obstetrics & Gynaecology Hospital Medical Officer) - we had a brief interaction in the theatre and again so respectful of the situation I was in, and finally Sanyogita Tara (Obstetrics & Gynaecology Cosultant). I know and respect Tara from my work at BHH. She is well respected for her skill, calm manner and kind, respectful interactions with the women she cares for. Yesterday was no exception.
People often say it is not easy to come to your place of work and be on the other side, but I say I would not go anywhere else! Over the years I have birthed all four of my babies at BHH and had a number of other procedures there, I have always been treated with the utmost kindness and respect. Thank you to all. I would appreciate this being seen by the appropriate people - thank you
