I have completed the Logan House Rehabilitation Program in which I spent time residing within the residential facility. I found the Treatment Facilitators and staff here to be absolutely wonderful. I learnt so much about myself, especially the importance of having a positive and nurturing relationship with myself.
In order to reinforce what I learnt through the program I decided that I would go to Transition House for a period afterwards. This was both an important and invaluable experience for me as I was able to take the next step in my recovery whilst also having a semblance of safety with the support of services both outside and within Lives Lived Well.
It can be so dangerous leaving rehab and going straight back into an environment in which you used to use. Transition House is a necessary stepping stone in not only your recovery but rebuilding the trust and strength you have with yourself. Plus Harold the cat is pretty great.
