Dear leopardrj83,

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the Day Therapy Unit, Changes in Memory and Thinking Education presentation. I was so pleased to read that you enjoyed the session and that the information was relevant and presented in a way that was easy to understand.

The Day Therapy Unit is a community based service that aims to improve and maintain people’s independence, confidence and ability to perform everyday tasks in their own home and in the community. Staff and students work with the person and their family and carers to plan and provide a program aimed at meeting individual needs and goals. Within the Day Therapy Unit we also provide Outpatient Stroke Services, Geriatric Clinic Services and Neurological Clinic Services.

The Changes in Memory and Thinking Education Sessions are provided to carer’s and family members caring for people with cognitive changes. The education sessions focus on:

- Understanding cognitive changes and dementia

- Living well with cognitive changes

- Information and services available to support both people with a cognitive impairment and their carers and family

- Importance of carers and family looking after themselves

Thanks again for getting in touch as its great to hear when we do something well and lets us know that we are on the right track.

Kind regards

Michele
