"Long wait and no communication"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

Brought my spouse in to the ED for a severe pain in the throat early morning. It is now late at night, still cruising the suspense of what is happening next. No food provided or water and wonder why patients faint.

Continuous chase to find out what is happening. CT scan marked as done before doing it.

Patient is tired and frustrated. I hope I don't come back here.

Dear equuleushm64

Thank you so much for taking the time for sharing your experience and that of your spouse recently. I’m sorry it was not positive and that communication was lacking. I hope whatever brought you and your spouse to the Emergency Department at Box Hill Hospital has been resolved.

I take your feedback really seriously and would welcome you making contact with us so we can review the specifics of your experience. In order to do this, could I ask if you can make contact with the Patient Relations Advisor in the Eastern Health Centre for Patient Experience either via email at feedback@easternhealth.org.au or calling 1800 EASTERN. Please note should you call, the Patient Relations Advisor may be on another call so please leave a message and your call will be returned.

Thank you again and I hope we hear from you shortly.

Kind regards

David
