"Pleasant stay"

Thank you very much for your feedback about your recent hospital stay.

Meals in the evening are served very early, there are a variety of options open to patients who prefer to eat later than the 5pm time. Some patients will hold their meal until later in the evening, and then use the microwave to warm it up. There is a kitchenette in Acute ward, with a fridge, and microwave for this to be attended. Some patients like to have food brought in from home to eat at a later time, this too is permitted- there is process so that the food is accepted as coming in to the hospital, not provided by the hospital. The nurses can assist you with either of these methods.

Dinner time is different for different people, and whilst it is served at 5pm, there is also supper offered at 8pm, so there is more food offered then. Due to the hours that the domestic staff are rostered, this supper round is done by nursing staff.

I am very interested in your comments that some cleaning staff take pride in their work more than others. I guess that this can be true with regards to any job, however our cleaning standards in health services are high, and we do get very high rates in our cleaning audits when they are conducted annually. I will provide further feedback to you on this issue after discussing it with the cleaning department manager.
