"Excellent end of life care for my friend"

Four nurses came when my friend was on End of Life (EOL) support being Sonia, Kylie, Aly and Diane. They are all excellent and a credit to Home Support Services (HSS) Queensland! They all had different ways of doing things to help my friend in her last days, and the kindness and dedication to help her to feel safe and comfortable for her end of life was extraordinary.

Diane had come when my friend had her first hospital discharge earlier this year and when they saw each other again it was very emotional for me as my friend had told me (when she could still talk) that she liked Diane very much for her no-nonsense, by-the-book but not stern approach, and giving us ideas to help my friend as perhaps move her bed to the back of the house so she could see the trees, etc., so Diane was her favourite! She was also very matter of fact to my sibling (who called by) and to me every time I asked her something and I appreciated her so much as did my friend. She went the extra mile by telephoning me the morning after my friend had passed away and asked if I was going to be ok. So all in all Diane is very kind and dedicated and also the other three nurses who attended. I cannot thank them enough for their wonderful care of my friend who passed away recently.
