I had to attend Busselton Health Campus for day surgery recently and the lovely staff there made for an extremely bearable experience for what was not well anticipated at my end.
From the friendly face of the volunteer lady as I entered the building, who helped direct me to where I needed to go, to the admin staff who checked me in, to Hillary, the pre-op nurse who effectively and efficiently prepared me for my foreign experience, whilst at all times keeping me feeling at ease, to the surgeons and anaesthetist (Ben and his registrar and Michael) who explained very thoroughly what would was about to take place, without scaring the life out of me, to Annie the darling who joked with me pre-op and then wiped my tears as I went under, all the way to my post-op care with Annette and the caring nurse whose name I didn't get because I was still out of it, who tripped over all my oxygen cords - I hope you're OK.
I didn't feel like I was in a hospital environment at all... well done Busselton crew!
