"My time at Sale Hospital"

About: Sale Hospital / Women's and Children's

(as the patient),

Me and my family felt cared for, and like we were the only people in the hospital, the staff had so much time for us 

I can't thank the obstetricians, doctors and midwives enough during my, my husband's and family's stay at the hospital. I came into the Sale Hospital knowing I was giving birth to our stillborn daughter and the love, care and respect everyone gave us was amazing. I can't thank the staff enough for the love they showed us during this very hard period in our lives. 

We got given a private room away from other babies and parents and were always getting checked on and cared for 100% the whole time, there was nothing else that the staff could have done to make us feel good on the worst day of our lives. 

We got told about services that were around to support us and were offered free photography through Heartfelt that came and took photos of our little girl that night.

My name is Kim Costin and I am a Nurse Unit Manager of Women’s and Children’s Unit. I have just read your story and I appreciate that despite what must be a very difficult and sad time for you, your husband and family, that you have taken the time to share your story and provide such lovely feedback on your care.

I plan to share your story and feedback with staff. I am sure, as I am, that the Obstetricians Doctors and Midwives that were involved in your care will feel comforted in knowing that they have been able to support and comfort you all through this very sad and difficult time.

I wish you all the best for the future and I hope that after going home you have continued to receive ongoing support and care.
