"Not listened to"

About: Hervey Bay Hospital

(as the patient),

I was treated for sciatica mostly, treated horribly and I felt I was made fun, denied help and was sent home each day I went for help, over a period of ten days, a few months ago.

I was told to have Panadol and Nurofen etc, cold and hot packs to be placed on my area. At the end of it, they finally did a couple of scans (CT one day, MRI the next).

They finally got rid of me by flying me to another hospital where I had a discectomy, so it wasn't just sciatica.

I'm disgusted, disappointed and I have anxiety over it. I'd rather die than return to the disgusting, disgraceful hospital. If they had not wanted to help, why didn't they send me to a better place? It would have only taken one scan. Not even an apology was given.

The paramedic's face was priceless when they realised that there was more than sciatica as my problem. The Queensland Health people that treated me are an embarrassment.
