It has been just over a year since my triple coronary artery bypass graft operation.
I was experiencing some unusual feelings, not pain, just a bit weird so I went to our little hospital - York Hospital. My treatment and care was exceptional (an electrocardiogram and blood test, plus discussion with a specialist via the video link.)
After discussion and no clear outcomes, I was sent to Northam Hospital for further investigation. Another ECG and more tests, but still no clear outcome.
I was being looked after by Doctor Sam, who informed me he could not find anything wrong, but suggested it would be wise to see a cardiologist, which I agreed to, and he rang me in the evening and made an urgent appointment for me.
The rest is history!
Even though they found nothing obviously wrong, the staff at both hospitals went beyond what one may expect to leave nothing to chance. After further invasive investigation, my problem was found and addressed.
I dread to think of what might have happened without this level of persistent care at the first stage of my heart problem.
I can’t thank the staff enough for their compassionate professional care, they saved my life.
"Exceptional treatment and care"
