"Fabulous care by Northam Midwifery Group Practice"

About: Goomalling Health Service Northam Health Service

(as the patient),

I had the luxury to receive incredible service through Northam Midwifery Practice throughout my journey with my second child. The care received included antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care. I want to extend my gratitude to Judi, Marie and Sandy, who all cared for me, during various stages. In particular, Judi was the assigned midwife for me, and she was very compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful in every possible way.

I felt the easiness and comfort of having such a caring facility at Northam, as we live over 100 kms from Northam. I had to go to Midland even for appointments and scans, for my first baby; the presence of Northam MGP was a real blessing this time.

I also would like to thank Dee and Jill (Nurses at Goomalling) who were given such a short notice to be prepared for an Emergency delivery, as the bub didn't want to wait until getting to Northam. Both of them and Dr Nina were caring and compassionate during my ED stay.

Dear cameloparadalissf36,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story with us during such a busy and exciting time for you and your family.

I was so pleased to read that the care you received by the Wheatbelt Midwifery Group Practice (WMGP) team throughout your pregnancy was reflective of the high quality, professional and compassionate care all our staff strive to achieve across the region.

The WMGP is a great service that has been established to ensure women have the option of delivering in the Wheatbelt close to home and also minimise travel time for ante and post-natal care appointments. I am very proud of their achievements so far.

Whilst the unexpected stop and emergency delivery of the baby at Goomalling was not ideal, the local GP and nursing staff provided fabulous assistance to you and I commend them for their care.

I will take great pleasure in passing on your compliments, as well as my own appreciation, to Marie, Judi, Sandy, Dee and Jill. I know they will really appreciate it.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Best wishes,

Sean Conlan

Regional Director
