I recently took my spouse to the Emergency Department (ED) at Box Hill Hospital, twice in the one week at the suggestion of the GP. On our first visit they were treated by Dr. Tess and was cared for by nurse Laura. Dr. Tess was very informative and caring and reassured us that if their condition was to worsen that we could return.
When my spouse's condition was not improving I took them back to the ED two days later. They were triaged promptly and professionally by the triage nurse Hamish. We were re-assessed in the waiting room by the other triage nurse on, Caroline who was concerned as my spouse was shaking from their high temperature and was confused. We were taken into the department shortly after and looked after by Jess and Chris who were very efficient in taking blood tests and assessing my spouse.
After seeing Doctor Erin, who was very informative and considered, the plan was to go to the Short Stay Unit. The nurse Bailey was very helpful and took us to the new room and provided my spouse with medication. They were again looked after by Nurse Laura and checked on by the nurses in charge; Jess and Hayden. Thank you to all of the staff at Box Hill ED for your care
"Wonderful care"
