"Attending the breast clinic"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Breast Cancer Care & Support

(as the patient),

I attended the breast clinic following a suspicious area on a routine mammogram.

I was seen within 2 weeks at RPH. The staff were excellent, friendly and, professional. They maintained great communication about the processes for the day, possible delays and updates about where you were at in the process.

From the reception staff, the nurse and the Radiographer and the Radiologist, I was extremely happy with the excellent service provided and felt lucky to be informed that my suspicious area was, in fact, a cyst.

Dr T notified me immediately which allayed my fears and I was lucky to be discharged home at that point and recognising that not everyone of the 20 or so women attending would be that lucky.

I would like to thank you for providing a patient-centred and focused, timely and efficient service and also thank the volunteers for  providing refreshments to the waiting area- much appreciated.
