"Medical emergency that was handled by SEH."

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Day Procedure Unit (DPU - 1 West) Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

In February I attended the SEH due to a change in my vision. The doctors were very caring and responsive to my concerns. After tests and analysis of what the problem might be , it was discovered that I did have a problem with my eye that was serious and needed immediate medical treatment and surgery. The next day I was admitted for surgery. 

The outcome was that the sight in my left eye was saved due to the skill and experience and expertise of the ophthalmologists and surgeons. 

In the days and weeks after my surgery, the SEH was very caring and reassuring and any concerns or problems that may have arisen, were easily answered and listened to by the professional staff assisting the doctors and surgeons, which were only a phone call away. 

I would like to offer my thanks and gratitude to everyone who were involved in assisting me with my medical problem, right from the beginning in the emergency department, to the nurses and staff that looked after me in the ward while waiting for surgery to the doctors and surgeons who were able to save my sight. and then to the staff available at any time , only a phone call away who assisted me while convalescing
