"Breast Centre staff"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

(as the patient),

Newly diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ - cancer in a milk duct, not in breast tissue as yet). Necessary procedures completed last week and waiting for results of lymph biopsy. Staff members caring for me before, during and after these procedures were absolutely wonderful ... so professional, caring, approachable, open and honest about what was happening each step of the way.

They all showed the greatest respect for my level of knowledge (I'm a recently retired SCGH RN), and how much I wanted to know and be involved. Special mention to: lovely Shay (RN, Nuc Med), Natasha (RN, Nuc Med), Emily (RN, SSU), Kaitlin (RN, SSU), Susie (HSA) , Carmel (CNM), and of course Dr Allen and his professional and caring team. There were many more who assisted / interacted with me during this trying time and my thanks go to them all. You make this journey easier.

Dear ex-RN,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH). I was pleased to read of the wonderful care that you received throughout your recent procedures.

Positive feedback from a fellow SCGH staff member is incredibly rewarding for our staff as it affirms the excellent work they are doing. It will be my pleasure to pass on your thanks and appreciation, to Shay, Natasha, Emily, Kaitlin, Susie, Carmel and Dr Allen. They will be touched and honoured to know what a huge difference that they made to your journey.

Wishing you all the best.

Jodi Graham
