I was transferred from Perth Clinic a couple of months ago on a 72hr MH order. Disgusted.
They did not plan or prepare any future destination for me; but I feel they took the easy way out and sent me to another metropolitan ED. I have no complaints about this hospital.
Eventually I was deposited at Midland hospital Wards 4C and 4A AND told they would not give me Vyvanse. ( Standard practice I understand in public hospitals).
Distraught at this stage, I of course suffered withdrawal symptoms. I don’t know what best practice in such circumstances is; but I feel it has got to be better than this?!
Where does the blame lie? Perhaps Perth Clinic for not anticipating such a problem?
Ironically, the new antidepressant Brintellix, prescribed by the senior psychiatrist at Midland has been marvellous.
I just wish the nurses and ancillary staff had been less abrasive in my care.
"Rapid ejection from clinic, after over 25 years as a patient."
