"Overnight stay in A&E at Macquarie St"

About: Macquarie Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a suspected TIA just before flying from London to Sydney and on arrival my UK doctor told me to go to an A&E to get checked out. I went to Macquarie St and was seen immediately by nurse Theresa, then had blood tests, ECG and a CT scan. My blood pressure was extremely high. I was kept in overnight and given great care and advice by Dr Marco, Theresa and Sharan. The tests were all negative so it would appear that it wasn’t a TIA, but the blood pressure needed to be brought under control, and I have since seen a local GP and now have some medication which has already made a difference.

I was quite worried when I arrived at A&E and can’t thank Theresa, Sharan and Dr Marco enough for the way they handled me, looked after me and made me feel at ease. Thank you!
