"Our experience in ED"

About: Swan Hill District Hospital / Emergency Department

(as other),

My husband cut his finger quite deeply cutting a tile in half

Our visit to ED was an easy one, from the receptionist who greeted us, the triage nurse who made us both feel comfortable and reassured even though the finger was a mess (the look on her face 😊) then the Dr attending Les, the cleaning lady who offered me a seat “please sit” the Dr who came to help the consulting Dr, the nurse who brought a warm blanket, the nurse who administered medication. We both felt very well cared for. Aftercare information was clear. Incredible staff!

Dear ophiuchusdr63,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with your husband in our emergency department. We are so proud of the new care space. However the environment is second to the people who actually deliver the care within the space. Here at SHDH we strive for care to be "Connected Care, Best Experience" each time (we don't always get this right but I feel with you we came very close!). We consider the cleaning staff, the receptionists, the nurses and the doctors all form part of the care team that provide care to the patient.

I hope your husbands finger is healing well.

Kind Regards

Chloe
