I presented to ED with severe lower abdominal pain, and was promptly taken to a resus bay with the suspicion of a ruptured ectopic, as I had recently had a positive pregnancy test but no ultrasound. I had pain relief within abour 15 minutes of arriving. The nursing staff in ED were efficient, kind and empathetic, and arranged prompt medical review and ultrasound. I was in theatre within a couple of hours of arriving, and had a laparoscopy that showed the ruptured cyst, so woke up very grateful to find I was still pregnant.
The staff, and I know I will forget some names - were all amazing. Valerie and Jobe in ED - Kira on the surgical ward - Rachel, my wonderful doctor - all the orderlies - you all made my stay so much better than it could have been. I will be forever grateful to you and appreciative of the wonderful care you give.
