"Emergency Staff Kindness"

About: St George Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

While sitting in the St George emergency waiting room on Saturday night, with my mum, a lovely lady nurse (I wish I knew her name) nicely offered my mum lemonade. Something so small but so thoughtful and generous as she could see we had been there for close to 4-5 hours. So small, but meant to much. It’s the little things in life that matter. Thank you once again.

Dear bravogm38,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that offering lemonade provided some comfort during your extended wait in the emergency room. We recognise that waiting in such circumstances can be challenging, and we are committed to making every effort, however small, to enhance the patient experience. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I will ensure a copy of your kind recognition is made available to the Emergency Department management team. I wish your mother well as she recovers and thank you once again for sharing your experience.

Warm regards,

Ange Karooz
