"MGP Karratha"

For my third pregnancy I was accepted into the MGP. I was allocated 2 midwives Leanne and Laura however majority of my appointments were with Leanne. 

After having a fairly traumatic birth with my first (delivered at 35 weeks, 3litre blood loss, transfers to Hedland/pch, separated from baby and partner) going through MGP meant I didn’t have to go through my first pregnancy at every appointment like I did with my second pregnancy. 

Leanne was absolutely incredible and informative throughout my pregnancy as I was later diagnosed with gestational diabetes for the first time. She was supportive and also flexible, she was happy to work around my kids and partners shifts. 

I had a very calm and relaxed birth whilst also being very quick. Leanne allowed me to labour and ensured I was as comfortable as possible throughout the labour and birthing my daughter. She knew what I wanted for the birth and very much played a huge role in creating the calm environment. 

I’m so grateful to have had the support of Leanne throughout my pregnancy and birth. I would recommend Leanne and the MGP to all mothers to be.
