I recently had a missed call and voice mail from PCH. I called back and spoke to the receptionist and they said my child already has a schedule for a particular day in a few months.
A minute after our conversation. When I'm about save that on my calendar I saw that our travel schedule was the entire school holiday and that date doesn’t us. I immediately called back and got the same person I got. I told them that my child was not available on that date for that reason.
I also said that in addition to the 2 weeks school holiday, I informed that my child was not available on the long weekend and that we had previous plans so that in case they knew before they gave the schedule, they already knew that we were not available. The person I was talking to said that they will put a note so that they could reschedule the first date they gave and just in case they knew that date that we were available.
When I got home, my partner was talking to someone, they said that they were talking to the hospital regarding the surgery schedule and my partner gave me the phone. In short, the person on other line said that my chld would be removed from the waiting list because we were not available on the date mentioned. However, we only had one schedule, So I told them we are not available because we are traveling.
The staff member also asked if my child's teeth hurt, my answer was not at the moment although 8 of their teeth are to be extracted. Maybe because my child improved their dental hygiene routine. The staff member said that we should just go back to our private dentist because my child's case was not a priority. And they mentioned that we have private insurance, my answer was that we do but it's just extra cover. I was sad and didn't know what to answer. The PCH treatment is apparently not for everyone. The staff member said that we should just go back to my child's private dentist, and if it hurts, they do GA and can extract it there.
"Removed from the list"
