"Subacute Ward Northam Hospital"

About: Northam Health Service / Sub-Acute Services

(as the patient),

I had a fall at home and broke a couple of ribs and collapsed lung. It has been 4 weeks now and I am feeling much better. I go home this week.

The staff here have been beyond fantastic and go to any length to meet your needs.

A particular thank you must go to Admin Assistant Ali, who has been extremely helpful to me both during working hours and in her own time. She set up a ZOOM Meeting on the big screen TV, in order that I could speak to and see my family in a family meeting.

It was very effective and her efforts, much appreciated.

Also Marie the tea lady was a great support and always with a smile or kind word. These people and all the staff I have seen here, doctors, nurses, professionals and all are amazing and I thank them all!

Dear herondc44,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so pleased to hear that your time at Northam Hospital has been a positive one and that you're feeling better and preparing to head home after your stay.

It's wonderful to know that you felt so well supported during your recovery, and that the team was able to meet your needs with care, kindness and compassion.

Thank you for acknowledging Ali and Marie. Ali's thoughtfulness and initiative in helping you connect with your family via a Zoom meeting is a great example of the lengths our staff go to. Marie's warm presence and friendly smile are often highlighted by patients, and we are proud of the important part she plays in our team.

We will ensure to pass on your feedback to the whole team and I will add in my appreciation for the great work they do. Wishing you all the very best for your continued recovery at home.

Kind Regards

Kumar Deep
