A couple of year ago, the medication that I had been on to control my ulcerative colitis seemed to lose its efficacy, resulting in a flare up of symptoms and general deterioration in my health.

The gastroenterology team at Royal Perth Hospital navigated me through this period, trialling different medications and managing my overall health until we found a medication that proved effective.

Throughout the entire duration that I've been involved with the gastroenterology team at Royal Perth Hospital (from initial diagnosis 10 years ago through to the present day), I've always felt as though I had the full support and expertise of their excellent doctors and IBD nurses. They've always been easily contactable, responsive, professional and just generally nice people.

They've played such a critical role in getting me back to full health that I honestly can't say enough good things about the team.
