"Waiting for surgery"

I have a 14mm gall stone and have been waiting since last year in June when my referral was made to have it removed. Every day I have at least 5 flare ups, so painful it travels to my back. I had a consult with the surgeon early this year, had my pre admiss a couple of months later, it has now been 3 more months and I still have no surgery date. Not to mention with the size of my gallstone, I understand it is more likely for my gallbladder to rupture or cause an infection then it is to pass as it is too large to pass. Based on my experience, I think the healthcare system is entirely a disgrace these days.
